Products Description of Lanthanum Nitrate CAS#10277-43-7
Lanthanum nitrate hexahydrate is a colorless crystalline compound with a distinctive nitrate odor. It is generally stable under standard ambient conditions, but decomposes when heated, emitting hazardous nitrogen oxide fumes. It dissolves readily in water and also displays hygroscopic properties, tending to absorb atmospheric moisture.

Product Application of Lanthanum Nitrate CAS#10277-43-7
Lanthanum nitrate finds extensive use in the production of optical glass, gas mantle components, and phosphorescent materials, and also serves as a preservative. It is employed as an additive in ceramic capacitors and functions as a catalyst in petroleum refining operations. Furthermore, it is utilized in the manufacture of lanthanum–tungsten and lanthanum–molybdenum cathode materials, three-way catalytic converters, petrochemical processing, gas mantle additives, hard alloys, and refractory metal industries.
