Products Description of Ethyl Vinyl Ether CAS#109-92-2

Ethyl vinyl ether is a colorless liquid that's flammable and highly reactive. Since it can easily polymerize—whether as a liquid or a gas—industrial versions usually include polymerization inhibitors to keep it stable during storage.

It freezes at -115°C, boils at 35–36°C, and melts at -115.8°C. Its relative density is 0.754 (20/20°C), with a refractive index of 1.3767. It has a flash point of -45.5°C, an autoignition temperature of 201.66°C, and a viscosity of 0.22 mPa·s at 20°C.

It's only slightly soluble in water—about 0.9% by weight—and its flammable range in air is between 1.7% and 28% by volume.
