This liquid ranges from colorless to a light yellow color and gives off a lovely scent with hints of wine, fruit, and melon. It boils at around 302°C and melts between 1 and 3°C. While it won't mix with water, it dissolves readily in ethanol, ether, most non-volatile oils, and plenty of other organic solvents.
