Product Details
Lanolin oil is a natural secretion originating from sheep's skin, and its composition closely resembles that of human sebum—the oily substance produced by sebaceous glands, most noticeable on the nose. However, unlike sebum, lanolin contains no triglycerides, which makes the term “wool fat” somewhat inaccurate. Its primary natural role is to moisturize and safeguard sheep's wool. Thanks to these outstanding conditioning and protective qualities, lanolin is extensively incorporated into cosmetics, skincare, and haircare formulations. The oil is recovered through centrifugation of shorn sheep's wool, a method that effectively removes impurities while ensuring no harm comes to the animals.
