Products Description of Direct Pigment Yellow 3 CAS#6486-23-3
Direct Pigment Yellow 3 is a bright greenishlight yellow powder pigment with excellent color appearance and stability. It is soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and acetone under heating. When treated with concentrated sulfuric acid, the pigment undergoes a color shift to yellow, while remaining stable in concentrated nitric acid, concentrated hydrochloric acid, and dilute sodium hydroxide solutions. It also offers good light and heat resistance. Please note that this product is designed for scientific research purposes only and is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
The product has a total solid content of 55% and a pigment solid content of 40%, with a pH between 6 and 8. It exhibits excellent fastness properties: washing fastness (staining) 4–5, fading resistance 3–4, dry rubbing fastness 3–4, wet rubbing fastness 3, alkali resistance 4, and acid resistance 4. Its temperature resistance is good, withstanding 180 °C at 6% concentration and 160 °C at 1% concentration. The pigment also shows outstanding lightfastness (Grade 7) and weather resistance (Grade 7), ensuring reliable and durable color performance.
